Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of the Volar interface and protocol. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Volar website, interface, or underlying smart contracts (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and legally permitted to use decentralized financial software. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all laws and regulations that apply to you. The Service is not offered to any person in a jurisdiction where its use would be unlawful.
3. Non-custodial software
Volar is a set of autonomous, non-custodial smart contracts and an interface to them. We do not hold, control, or have access to your funds, private keys, or wallet. All transactions are initiated by you and executed on-chain. We cannot reverse, cancel, or recover any transaction.
4. No financial advice
Nothing on the Service is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Prices, premiums, and figures shown are indicative and provided for information only. You are solely responsible for evaluating the merits and risks of any transaction.
5. Risks
Trading options is highly risky and can result in the total loss of your premium or locked collateral. The Service depends on third-party infrastructure, price oracles, and experimental smart-contract code that may contain errors. You accept these risks in full. See our Risk Disclosure.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the contributors to Volar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or any loss of profits, funds, or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
8. Prohibited use
You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to evade sanctions, to launder funds, or to interfere with or exploit the protocol or other users. You may not misrepresent the Service or use it in a way that could damage or overburden the underlying infrastructure.
9. Intellectual property
The Volar smart contracts are released under an open-source license. The name, branding, and interface design are the property of their respective contributors and may not be used to impersonate the Service.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by general principles applicable to decentralized software, without reference to any specific jurisdiction's conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local law applies to you.
